What we do
We believe that a healthy church is active in both inreach and outreach.
Inreach is when we grow closer together as God's people, worshipping as a body, developing friendships, learning together from the Scriptures, praying for one another and sharing in one another's lives.
These things are important so that we can live up to the many "one another" passages of the New Testament. To achieve these goals, we offer a wide variety of regular Bible study groups and teaching classes for different groups within the church, hold regular social activities, and encourage hospitality.
Outreach is also important to us, because it reminds us that God has given us the mission of bringing the good news to the world around us. It's also an area in which we are seeking to grow.
As a local church, in addition to personal ministry to the many people God has placed along our individual paths, we are active in supporting the work of the Wellington City Mission. In 2009 we sent a member of our church to the Solomon Islands on a 5-10 year project to establish and manage a centre to help care for people with disabilities.
As a wider group of churches, we support two missionary couples in Papua New Guinea, a radio broadcasting ministry in South-East Asia, and a Bible College in Uganda, as well as diaconal works in different parts of the world.
