Our Sermon Series

We generally work out way through a series on a particular book of the Bible or a specific doctrine. We believe that God has given us His Word to inform our lives and instruct us on how to live for His glory. Therefore, the Bible has a central place in all instruction in the church. Particularly in the morning service, we work through a book or passage of scripture in what is called "consecutive expositionary preaching." The whole point is that we want to cover everything that God teaches us in a particular passage or book without skipping the parts that do not sound as nice to our modern ears. In this way, the Word of God is our rule, guide and light for daily living.

In the evening service, we often look at a specific Bible passage which teaches one of the classic doctrines of the church. We use manmade documents like creeds and confessions as outlines for what the Bible teaches. However, we do not teach the catechism or manmade document. The Bible is the rule and authority, and we simply use the manmade documents to make sure that that each generation keeps the faith which was once handed down to all the saints! (Jude 1:3 and 2 Timothy 2:2)
