Faith in Focus is the magazine of the Reformed Churches of New Zealand. We are a federation of 17 Churches here in both the North and South Islands of New Zealand. In the 1950s immigrants from Holland were unable to find a comfortable ecclesiastical home in their new land. The theological stance of the mainline Presbyterian Church was too far removed from the theology of the great creeds of the Reformation. The Reformed churches began with the four subordinate standards - the Belgic confession, the Canons of Dort, the Heidelberg Catechism and the Westminster Confession. Almost immediately a regular magazine was produced and evolved into what is today the Faith in Focus. The magazine, with its adherence to the Biblical theology re-discovered at the time of the great 16th Century Reformation, seeks to promote Reformed thinking as it applies to all areas of life. We publish articles that are theological in nature as well as on pastoral subjects and on general areas of Christian living. Children and adults are catered for.
We publish Monthly except for February and the magazine is available to those outside our churches by way of subscription. Subscription details available at fnf@rcnz.org.nz.
