The Gospel-Hearted Leadership event was held in our church on 6th & 7th March 2020.
The speaker was Dr. Murray Capill.
Murray Capill was Principal of the Reformed Theological College from 2008 – 2019. Prior to that he pastored churches in New Zealand (Bucklands Beach) and Australia (Geelong) for 15 years. In 2020 Murray moved to a new role at the RTC as Dean of Ministry Development. He loves training and equipping the next generation of gospel workers and has written two books on preaching. Murray is married to Wendy and they have five children and four grandchildren.

Captivated Hearts: Understanding what Captures our Kid’s Hearts

A seminar for elders with relevance to all male ministry leaders.

1. Shaping a gospel-hearted church:

How the gospel shapes our lives, and the culture of the church and sets the agenda for all we do

2. Multiplying gospel-hearted workers:

How to encourage, train and mentor people so we have a growing abundance of elders, leaders, and active church members. Some input will be given on how to have mentoring and other one-to-one relationships.

3. Cultivating gospel-hearted care:

How to develop an approach to care that draws on the gifts of many. Some input will be given on the basics of good care.
